Quimby and Christina


I never expected to find a clear photo of our ancestors Quimby and Christina Hayes.

This is reportedly their wedding photo.  They were married 18 Feb 1863, in the middle of the civil war.  Quimby's first wife, Sally, died 28 August 1862.  Christina's family lived on the farm next to Quimby.  She would have been 16 yrs old when they married if the dates given in her obituary are correct. (She was born 11 Oct 1846)

    I just realized that next February will be tha 150th anniversary of Quimby and Christina's marriage. We should have a celebration!
