We are in lower manhattan and waiting for full power and phone service to be restored. We are in NYU housing which means there is emergency power, lighting in the hallways and stairs, water and wifi.
All in all it was a crazy storm. We are thankful that there isn't more damage in our area. Lots of people we affected, it's very sad.
Here are a couple of photos from our walk around yesterday. Lots of corner markets open. No lights but they are making food. Some were even giving it away for free.
