Richard S. brought a photo to our Monday night get together that took my breath away. It is the Gottlieb Sr Traeder family. Gottlieb is Nieta's great great grandfather. This is the first picture I've ever seen of Gottlieb, his wife, Caroline AND their daughter, Minnie (first row, far right), who married Ferdinand Fenner. This picture is earlier than 1879 as Minnie Fenner died in 1879. It is quite remarkable to see this portrait of the parents and their 10 children.
I have tentatively identified everyone on the photo. There are names written on by a relative, but they are not correct for the four women in the back row. Interestingly, Minnie was the first member of this family to come to Wisconsin. She arrived in May 1857 with her husband. Her brother, Gottlieb Jr came in 1864. The rest of the family, about 22 of them, came together in 1869.
