CAMPBELLSPORT — A Texas longhorn steer apparently didn’t want to go to market.
The steer made its escape as it was being unloaded from a trailer at Loehr’s Meat Service in Campbellsport Tuesday morning.
The large red and white animal fled from the parking lot of the Main Street business and headed east through the village, crossing the river.
The animal was located a mile east of the village on County Trunk Y.
